"Red Dog": A Must See Movie About Love and Devotion

This wonderful movie, a true story about a most amazing dog, will mesmerize you

I'm writing this from Keinbah, Australia, about two hours north of Sydney, where I just saw a wonderful and inspirational Australian movie called "Red Dog". It follows "the legendary true story of the Red Dog who united a disparate local community while roaming the Australian outback in search of his long lost master." Red Dog was a Kelpie/cattle dog and you can read his amazing story here

This true story about a most amazing dog will mesmerize you and I'm sure will move you to tears, tears of sadness, but well-balanced by tears of joy. My emotions went all over the place as I watched this movie, at times laughing hysterically and on occasion becoming teary. When it was over I just sat there thinking about just how amazing dogs can be and how much we can learn from them about loyalty and love.

If you ever questioned if animals can be show unwavering commitment to a human being, this movie will surely convince you that they can and do (see also). It joins some of the legendary stories of devotion and love shown by dogs, for example Greyfriars Bobby (see also) after their human companions disappear or die.

This is one of the best and most moving movies I've seen in years and days later I'm still thinking about it. I encourage you to watch "Red Dog", let your emotions flow all over the place, and reflect on just how lucky we are to have dogs in our lives.
